Our team is looking for a Business Development Manager to support our growing Salesforce consulting and development practice.

How Will You Fit Into Our Team?
To encourage growth for our team, you will drive interest and demand in our Salesforce practice. Your responsibilities will include establishing and growing strategic business relationships and a pipeline of high-quality project opportunities. With proficient oral and written communications skills, you'll address technical challenges and consistently demonstrate how we drive value and excellence in the solutions we build for clients.
You will work closely with marketing and other sales team members to identify innovative opportunities to drive pipeline growth, build strategic relationships with prospects, create sales collateral, and leverage marketing campaigns.

Compensation is base salary, dependent on experience and skills, plus commission on landed deals and a potential annual bonus.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Build demand for and generate opportunities for Soliant Consulting’s Salesforce practice
  • Focus on new business lead generation through prospecting and managing inbound leads as needed
  • Deliver a consultative approach to sales from the first meeting with a prospective client by focusing on learning more about customer objectives
  • Leverage technical problem-solving to craft and refine unique value propositions for each prospect and opportunity
  • Support the wider Soliant team by teaching prospects and new clients about our software development process and how we deliver value for clients
  • Liaise with our technical teams to translate the more complex and technical aspects of our projects for prospects
  • Establish trust during the sales phase to build a foundation for our Trusted Advisor approach to long-term client relationships
  • Build relationships with prospective clients at industry and networking events
  • Work closely with Marketing for pipeline growth and management and collaborate on targeted campaigns
  • Track progress with leads by logging communication and other relevant data in CRM
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process through initial lead response, opportunity qualification, project scoping, solution estimation, proposal-writing, contract negotiation, and handoff to the development team upon closing
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in consultative sales in technology services, preferably in digital transformation, application development, and/or cloud services
  • A foundational understanding of Salesforce, as well as its products, framework, culture, and solutions; preferably 6 months to 2 years of exposure to the Salesforce ecosystem
  • A clear track record of building and maintaining a book of business that translated into engaging, long-term client partnerships
  • Engaging and collaborative communication skills, especially on technical topics and ideas, with the confidence to engage prospective clients at the CXO level
  • Experience in working with a technology team in a sales capacity
  • Aptitude for translating prospect requirements with technical acumen and sharing insights on how we can deliver on their vision, preferably on the fly
  • Ability to create opportunities for oneself and grow their own sales pipeline
  • Generating and managing leads and deals from start to finish
  • Experience in Agile software and application development, including the complex step of crafting and communicating estimate ranges for large projects
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, as technology and therefore our services continuously evolve
  • Driven, highly motivated, and ready to collaborate
  • Willing to travel, as needed, post-COVID
