Job Description
The main purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and outcomes into quality solution designs that can be built across our Salesforce Platform and to support the development team to successfully execute on the designs.The role provides technical leadership, direction and coaching to the Salesforce team at Turnitin. Working with internal team members, SI Partners and off-shore development teams responsibility will cover all functionality development across the Salesforce platform at Turnitin.You will have responsibility to develop and maintain technical standards and ways of working ensuring that all development, customisation and configuration on the Salesforce platform conforms to defined standards and delivers a high-quality, fit for purpose business solution. You will coach and mentor less experienced team members to help them develop in their roles.You will be a multi-certified Salesforce professional, with a long term ambition to get on the path to Certified Technical Architect, which is something we will support you with. You will be a proficient Salesforce developer, able to support other developers and system admins, and willing to roll your sleeves up and work at the code level when required. You will have a strong interest in Sales and a desire to use the Salesforce platform to develop operationally efficient processes.

- Take business requirements and work them into robust and technically sound solutions, documenting the solution design in Jira to achieve a ‘Dev Ready’ status
- Support individual developers to build and deliver the documented solution design
- Develop and maintain Salesforce technical standards and ensure that all customisation and configuration across the whole Salesforce platform conform to these standards
- Lead all development on the Salesforce platform ensuring good technical design is delivered through high quality configuration and customisation
- Ownership of the technical design across the Salesforce platform
- Ensure there is best practice data management policies in place including regularly reviewed and tested robust archive and backup procedures for the platform
- Support developers, admins and functional leads acting as a technical mentor for team members

- Strong Salesforce technical knowledge and capability with a depth of development experience
- Multiple years experience as a Salesforce developer working on large and complex orgs.
- Good interpersonal skills / friendly and approachable,
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical colleagues to support decision making
- Keen to support development of less experienced team members
- Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Advanced Salesforce Administrator Certification
- CPQ Specialist
- Data Architecture and Management Designer
- Identity and Access Management Designer
- Sharing and Visibility Designer

- Salesforce Communities experience
- Experience of working with remote development teams
- Demonstrable experience of sales and Service cloud architecture design
- Experience of standard integration tools such as Boomi or Mulesoft
- Experience of Celigo, a Netsuite integration tool
- Flosum or other release management tools
