Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM and Salesforce are Global Strategic Partners with among the fastest growth rates across IBM’s select group of strategic partnerships. Forecasted to grow to $50b within the next 4.5 years, Salesforce is one of IBM’s most crucial ecosystem partners for Hybrid Cloud and AI, cognitive software, and Global Business Services. Ecosystem creation is one of the most significant levers to drive revenue growth for IBM with $1B+ investment planned in the next few years. Our ecosystem mission is to leverage and distribute IBM’s Open Hybrid Cloud & AI platform and services, enabling our partners to grow and establishing IBM as the industry leading partner IT organization.

Join our Salesforce Strategic Partnerships team and participate in the exciting growth opportunities across IBM.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop cross-brand IBM Salesforce pipeline through program activities, education sessions, and relationships with Salesforce AEs/VPs and IBM client account managers.
  • Ensure all opportunities are captured in both IBM’s Salesforce CRM system and Salesforce’s partner ACV tagging systems.
  • Facilitate executive meetings, quarterly region and solution leadership/industry meetings and AE/VP alignment. Establish a cadence of communications that foster trust and improve win chances.
  • Build strong GBS relationships that advance and differentiate cross-brand IBM solutions.
  • Personally incubate and develop reference accounts.
  • Work with Marketing Reference Team to develop references and win announcements to be shared internally and with Salesforce for reference program.
  • Support partnership and account level escalations.
  • Field enablement: provide current solution and partnership information to the field and support training opportunities.
  • GTM Initiatives: lead GTM programs defining play, approach, target setting and tracking.
  • Events: Take leadership role in major events like Dreamforce and World Tours
  • Marketing: support of Salesforce marketing through strategy guidance, event prioritization and collateral development direction
Offering and Community Development:
  • Ensure go to market offerings and materials are current, cross-brand, and customer-centric.
  • Fully engage with go to market teams to ensure they are educated on IBM offering set.
  • Support BDE community, IBM Sales community, Salesforce practice leaders, Partners & Aps.

About Business UnitDigital Growth and Commerce is helping transform IBM into a digital-first company by enabling new digital buying channels, engaging new buyer types, and accelerating revenue growth.
