SALESFORCE ARCHITECT
As a member of Digital Development, you will put on your product-oriented goggles and partner with the Product teams across E-commerce and Customer Service to release cohesive initiatives that stand the test of time. You will be focused on the current and future states and will have the opportunity to lead the design and execution of technical architecture on the SFDC platform. This is a hands-on role for an experienced Technical Lead or Technical Architect who understands business problems and can remediate with ROI as top of mind. As Salesforce Architect you will have the opportunity to mentor a Salesforce Developer toward a win-win future.
Responsibilities:
- Closely advise the Product Owners on backlog prioritization to continuously deliver value to the business;
- Routinely assess the health of the platform and work with the relevant Product Owners to prioritize enhancements;
- Design and document a comprehensive product architecture that can be referenced at any given time for any given product stream by technical and non-technical audiences;
- Author sustainable processes and best practices across administration, development, and DevOps that are backed by experience and not merely copy/pasted from blogs;
- Stay recent with Salesforce releases, highlighting the relevant feature additions and retirements and planning for their rollout;
- Support a technical team member with career development, ensuring optimal work quality by performing code reviews and maintaining regular touch points;
- Provide on-call availability during weekends and especially peak retail business periods to resolve emergencies and provide assurance to the thousands of employees who depend on your stack for their departmental objectives;
- Expect a front-row seat if you’ve leveraged Commerce Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud to deliver a strong omni-channel digital experience to millions of customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology;
- Minimum 1 year of Salesforce lead, technical architect, or solution architect experience leveraging an array of Salesforce products and external systems to deliver incremental value;
- Minimum 5 years of Salesforce development experience using Apex and Lightning Components (LWC) to build future-proof customizations with integrations as a core dependency;
- Sound understanding of customer data lifecycle traversing multiple platforms;
- Fluent in the modern Salesforce development practices leveraging source control, SFDX and Visual Studio;
- Solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, platform boundaries, and best practices;
- Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of OOP principles;
- Solid understanding of the Salesforce SDLC and the source-driven development model;
- Proactive problem-solver with a go-getter mindset (ownership is a must have);
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience architecting custom products on Salesforce using automations, data, and integration;
- Experience administering or developing with other Salesforce products, particularly Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud;
- Experience with DevOps tools.
Recipe for Success:
- Act as a trusted partner to the Product Owners. Strike a balance between technical design and business value, and exercise due diligence to get things right;
- Read and write code. Stay close and logged in to the orgs. Ensure a cohesive convergence of the various streams without creating redundant or disordered customizations;
- Display ownership at all times;
- Treat teammates the way you would want to be treated;
- Prioritize business value. An amazing solution that doesn’t add incremental value is just a hobby.
