WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to our Vice President of Enterprise Systems, your main responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership: Lead and manage the application engineering and development teams. Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities. Oversee the data architect who reports to this role.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the strategy for application engineering and development, ensuring alignment with MASA’s goals. Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, particularly those involving CRM Dynamics and Azure.
Project Management: Implement and manage Agile project management methodologies, including scrum practices and sprint cadence. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Coordinate closely with Product Owners (POs) and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure business needs are met.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and implementing software applications. Leverage your expertise in Azure, CRM Dynamics, and reporting to drive project success. Manage integration patterns, especially CRM Dynamics integrations with Azure and other systems, while understanding DevOps and CI/CID practices.
Development Management: Oversee development teams working with platforms like Azure, Salesforce.com, and GCP. Ensure the maintenance of the legacy stack, managed by a dedicated offshore team, and provide support for traditional back-office systems.
Best Practices and Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce best practices in software development, testing, and deployment. Monitor software performance and drive continuous improvements to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, operations, and product management teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful project outcomes. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Cloud Migration: Lead the migration of our infrastructure to Azure cloud, managing the current stack (Java on SQL Server offshore) and providing support for legacy systems.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Experience: 10+ years in software development and application engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience with CRM Dynamics, Azure, and application reporting is essential.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CID methodologies. Proficiency in Azure or Salesforce.com platforms, with knowledge of Azure Data Concepts and Data Visualization. Familiarity with on-premises SQL Server and Java is beneficial.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, solve complex problems, and think critically. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a player-coach mindset that balances strategic thinking with hands-on management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) are preferred.
