YMCA of Northern Alberta is looking for a Business Systems Analyst specializing in Salesforce to provide support, management and optimization of our Salesforce CRM and related applications. You will work closely with internal stakeholders in YMCA Child Care, Health, Fitness & Aquatics, Community Programs, and Association Services departments to understand business requirements, configure, administrate and customize Salesforce, and ensure the system’s overall effectiveness. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your knowledge and skillsets will ensure that community members have the access to the life enhancing programs and services that they have come to expect from the Y.

Essential Functions

Salesforce Configuration and Customization:
  • Collaborate with internal departments to continuously assess business requirements to identify opportunities for system enhancement, optimization and automation to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, workflows, validation rules and other platform features to meet business requirements
  • Support the development and management of custom reports, dashboards and analytics
  • Lead Salesforce-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Salesforce Administration & Support:

  • Support and manage day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform and related applications including user management, security settings, data integrity and system maintenance.
  • Provide training and support to Salesforce users, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use the platform.
  • Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.
  • Perform regular system audits and prepare for Salesforce upgrades.
  • Oversee data imports, exports, and data quality initiatives to ensure the accuracy and completeness of Salesforce data.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, functions and duties as required
What You'll Need for This Job
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, developing, and managing process and/or service enhancements as well as working knowledge and familiarity with principles of performance and financial reporting, management and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, functionality, and configuration.
  • Strong ability to work with data: understanding of data structures and data modeling, data analysis and mining business insights to support performance improvement.
  • Previous experience with enterprise system configuration and data management in Salesforce would distinguish a candidate
  • Effective technical writing & verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Minimum 2+ year(s) of system administration or combination of both education and experience
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Administration, Information Systems or related field is an asset
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Power Automate and Salesforce
