Job Purpose 
The Salesforce Lead is responsible for leading the integration of Salesforce into our company. The Salesforce Lead must be comfortable talking business process not just technical. They will lead the process of getting the system requirements configured working with business leaders, manage outsourced development teams, and ensure the scheduled launch dates deliver to the timelines set, create testing protocols. 
The Salesforce Lead will be leading discussions & presentations with Senior leadership, CFO, and VP of Sales division that will include technology and business. 
This is a hands-on position that will also be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of Salesforce and work with the Commercial and Industrial Sales teams to identify, develop, implement and manage sales enablement tools to support the organization’s growth objectives. Partner with other internal teams to understand business processes and develop strategies that support their goals, increase efficiencies, and improve the customer experience. As the company grows, we anticipate that will we add additional staff members to support these administrative functions. 
Responsibilities 
  • Effectively lead the design and development to launch Salesforce first with the sales and marketing team; and then to other teams to support the growth objectives of the company 
  • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce environment 
  • Focus the organization’s use of sales data towards what best serves corporate objectives 
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks 
  • Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and implement these changes as appropriate 
  • Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as process builder, approval processes, validation rules, and features such as engagement plans and levels 
  • Manage less complex Salesforce integrations - those not handled by a Salesforce Developer or Consultant/Partner 
  • Identify, install and maintain appropriate sales enablement apps from the AppExchange 
  • Design easy-to-use dashboard that provides real-time insights 
  • Eliminate manual processes by implementing new features, data elements and functionality 
  • Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization 
  • Document customizations made in Salesforce 
  • Plan for upgrades, seasonal releases and long-term projects 
Skills Required 
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests 
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills 
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization 
  • Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts 
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and other integrated systems 
Experience 
  • Minimum 3 years, prefer 5+ years, of Salesforce implementation and deployment experience 
  • A documented history of successful project completion 
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex processes 
  • Ability to build custom objects, formula fields, processes, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
