Job Description:Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a knowledgeable and talented Salesforce Business Analyst to join our Sales Operations & Strategy Team. In this role, you’ll help derive actionable insights from data to inform leadership and drive business results for Team Applied. Working with other Sales Ops team members or cross-functionally, you’ll develop partnerships with leaders inside and outside of the business organization and will build trusted working relationships within Team Applied’s Finance, Marketing, Product, Development, and Customer Success teams. Armed with a data-driven mindset and a desire to solve problems, you’ll develop pragmatic solutions that deliver real impact for the business organization. Your experience in Salesforce will make you a trusted subject matter expert and valued resource in the organization, providing opportunities for mentorship and best practice sharing. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales Operations & Strategy.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading large-scale strategic initiatives for executive leadership
- Build and maintain dashboards and high-quality Salesforce product enhancements that encourage data-driven decision making
- Identify gaps and build & document scalable solutions in Applied’s Salesforce Sales Cloud module
- Developing annual planning initiatives and forecasting methodologies
- Delivering business insights and analytics
- Optimizing sales tools and increasing productivity
- Enabling the sales organization through onboarding and continuing training
- Creating meaningful and motivating incentive structures for sales teams
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS JOB
- 3+ years experience as a Salesforce.com Service Cloud Business Analyst or Administrator; knowledge of Salesforce Community a must
- Expertise designing and building Salesforce reports and dashboards, including advanced understanding of the object schema, creating dynamic and filterable dashboards and using formulas and bucketed columns
- Extensive knowledge of user and permissions management including profiles, permission sets, roles, owner, role hierarchy, org-wide defaults, and sharing rules – and associated best practices
- Experience implementing custom fields, objects, and page layouts
- Ability to prioritize ad hoc projects with long term initiatives, including bringing informed recommendations to leadership
- Experience working cross-functionally to understand and work toward business requirements in an empathetic way
- Experience with and desire to work as part of a high-performing team
- Superior analytical and problem-solving acumen, including the ability to understand the root cause of an issue and ability to research technical solutions; intellectual rigor
- Strong work ethic with an understanding of how to work “smart” not just “hard”
- Experience driving discrete workstreams to completion
- Familiarity with sales teams and processes a must
