Works across teams with individuals to understand the technical needs and provide guidance and leadership for both Salesforce Administrators and Developers.Responsibilities:Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Salesforce Solution Architecture
- Works with developers on solution architecture for new capabilities/implementations
- Owns the Salesforce architecture documentation
- Identifies areas of opportunity for Salesforce solutions and creation of proofs of concept
Technical Debt Remediation
- Identifies areas of opportunity, and coaches/trains developers on improving code performance and lowering unit test execution times
- Identifies and remediates security concerns
- Assists in review of Salesforce Releases/Critical updates to communicate and route needed remediation work to the teams
Development Process Improvement
- Researches new tools to improve development quality and increase capacity
- Improves our development tools to catch issues as early as possible
- Finds ways to make it easier for Administrators to make changes
- Identifies areas of improvement with collaboration/tracking tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, e.g.)
Peer Reviews
- Increases the capacity of each team by reducing peer reviewing hours from individuals on each team
- Has an understanding of the work across teams to identify potential conflicts
Team Support
- Leads Development touchpoint meetings
- Does hands-on development as needed
- Identifies and Documents best practices for Salesforce developers
Performs other related duties as requiredQualifications:
Education & Experience
Minimum Required Bachelor's Degree in IT, or related field
Minimum Required 5 years experience developing on the Salesforce platform
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Knowledge & Skills
Expertise with Apex classes and triggers
Experience with:
- Batch Apex
- Writing queries using SOQL and SOSL
- Customizations on the Salesforce platform, as well as declarative tools
- Lightning Framework
- Data Loader
Attention to detail and results oriented, with a strong customer focus
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Problem-solving and technical communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
Preferred experience:
- Salesforce Dev I and II Certification
- Salesforce Admin Certification Adv Admin Certificates
- Salesforce Architect Certification
- Knowledge of Microservices and REST based API development
- Knowledge of continuous integration/development tools
