At Medtronic Diabetes , we are looking for a Salesforce Solution Architect who will be a pivotal member of our Architecture team and have the responsibility to work on the development of next generation Diabetes systems. That includes developing reference architecture blueprints, system & platform roadmaps, technological solutions, strategy of solution implementation, and collaboratively working with stakeholders to drive solutions that meets the needs of business capabilities.

Digital Technology – Architecture

Solution Architect is a key member of the Architecture team, the role is focused on developing reference architecture, system blueprints, providing overall technical vision for a particular solution, and ensuring that the solution solves the problem it was designed to solve .

This position will be a hybrid role based in Northridge, CA or Atlanta, GA. The anticipated schedule would be 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Participate in architecture roadmap definition & planning; research, evaluate, and prototype new technologies & products; perform fit gap analysis for system modernization, rationalization, and consolidation.
  • Define, describe, diagram, and document high-level technological designs to provide cost effective and innovative solutions to meet evolving global business needs.
  • Promote, guide, and govern good architectural practice through the application of well-defined reference architecture as well as technology and human interaction patterns.
  • Work with product managers and stakeholders to map and document technical systems and platforms that fulfill corresponding business capabilities.
  • Account for possible project/program challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, security, compliance, and scope.
  • Support the full lifecycle management of the entire IT program including the recommendation of applications/systems/platforms, tools, infrastructure, frameworks, patterns, principles, and practices to meet business needs for specific programs.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of work experience in leading digital technology/IT/software engineering programs or advanced degree with 8 years of work experience in leading digital technology/IT/software engineering programs

Nice to Haves:

  • Salesforce certifications in one or more areas (Application Architect, B2C Solution Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer, Administrator)
  • Experience working with Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), Micro-services, Event driven Architecture, Integration suite (like MuleSoft, WebMethods, SAP PO Gateway), and Data Architecture (Master data Management, data modelling, data migrations, analytics & reporting),
  • Experience working as a technical team leader or Solutions Architect/Enterprise Architect
  • Proficient in Salesforce eco-system (Sales, Service, Commerce, Health, Experience, Marketing cloud environment) and knowledge of at least 1 ERP platform (SAP, Oracle etc.).
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services with AWS/ Azure, and different deployment models with IaaS, PaaS on Compute, Storage, Network & Security Architecture.
  • Worked on enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, SABSA, ANSI/ISA 95 in technology organization.
  • Contributed towards organizational maturity on DevOps, Automation, adaptation of Cloud/ AI as part of the Transformation journey.
  • Understand as-is business process, identify process gaps, and advocate for re-engineering process if needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively work in a matrix organization and positively influence strategy and outcomes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with focus on improved system performance outcomes and positive business impact.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (timely, clear, concise, accurate, conclusive, influential, targeted to audience).
  • Good negotiation skills to align and work towards shared outcome-based goals.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
