As a Consultant, Business Capability Analyst you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise to inform business outcomes, in addition to providing competitive industry analysis for a Business Capability across multiple lines of business.
The Business Capability Analyst is a member of the broader Business Capability team representing the interests of all business stakeholders. Responsible for measuring progress against business outcomes and timelines ensuring the technology solution aligns to the business strategy and delivers expected business benefit measured by adoption of changes. The Analyst provides key support and insights to the Business Capability Owner, representing the customer point of view while also examining processes and practices to determine how to best support the outcomes.

Shared Business Solutions is seeking a Salesforce Business Architect who will become a key contributor for Nationwide. As a Salesforce Business Architect, you will be expected to engage with our clients to discover new opportunities and elicit high-level business requirements, work with our existing team of experts to successfully implement projects. The Architect will deliver top notch implementation, customization, configuration, and documentation services to NF's customer base. In this role you will collaborate with customers to provided them with a competitive advantage and add business value though Cloud Technology.
The key duties and responsibilities:
- Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to extract critical requirements and present a vision & solution that meets customer and project expectations.
- Communicate complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences who do not have a deep understand of Salesforce products.
- Work with our customers, sales teams, business partners and executive leadership to prescribe a complete solution to meet project goals and long term needs of Salesforce.
- Based on the prescribed solution, assist with the development of project plans, estimates, and provide scope input to sales for proposals and statements of work.
- Provide leadership to the project team throughout the entire project lifecycle and checkpoint with the Solution Architects periodically to provide feedback and assist them with the incorporation of “on the ground” feedback into the Solution Architecture team’s work and processes.
- Work closely with managers and practice leaders to develop practice area specific and cross-practice solutions that incorporate Nationwide best practices and experience
- Maintain skills in areas of expertise and stay up to date with industry and technology trends including ensuring certification requirements are met as required for the partnerships in your domain
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to others in areas of expertise.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
- Effectively manage customer expectations and communicate status updates of projects to various stakeholders, i.e., internal Nationwide management and external customers of varying levels of management.
- May work on concurrent projects at various stages within their lifecycle

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Business Capability Owner on prioritization and develops requirements throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure business objectives and solution vision are being met.
- Conducts competitive analysis on customer, product landscape and business segment specific competitors across multiple lines of business and experiences. Presents findings and recommendations to Business Capability Managers and/or Owners.
- Assesses organizational impact for organizational change management planning.Coordinates communication and training and is accountable for overall business readiness.Provides recommendations to the Business Capability Manager and/or Owner and agile team.
- Keeps up on the latest industry trends as well as customer needs and behaviors.
- Serves as a source of expertise for direction, mentoring and guidance for less experienced Business Capability Team Analysts.
- Participates in agile ceremonies, daily stand ups, show and tells, iteration planning and retrospectives.
- Partners with Business Capability Manager to define product KPIs that measure effectiveness of the product with customers.Works with Business Capability Team Management to identify areas focus and provides insights to Product Owner for prioritization.
- Leads and execute design and development on business configurable tools where applicable in support of operational partners.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director/Associate Vice President. Typically, no direct reports; may have opportunity to lead projects and teams.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate Degree with advance degree preferred
Experience: 8 or more years of demonstrated experience delivering initiatives and conducting customer research to inform value-based solutions. Experience delivering work in an agile environment, leveraging product-centric principles and managing large scale initiatives with multiple dependencies.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Deep knowledge of insurance industry. In depth understanding of agile planning practices and customer centric design. Strong command of verbal and written communication skills in addition to facilitation techniques. Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information and summarize for consumption by all levels. Ability to develop recommendations and influence the strategic vision and multi-year product roadmap. Strong business process design skills and ability to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work interpedently and manage large, complex tasks that span different subject matters.
