Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator

What can you expect?

Marsh’s digital marketing team is seeking a “go-to” person to deliver Campaign Management, Campaign Execution and Marketing Analytics leveraging the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. In this role, you’d collaborate with the Marketing teams for the other business divisions to support and execute marketing automation through Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget) for our direct to consumer and clients’ marketing campaigns. We’ll count on you to enhance the overall marketing impact initiatives, build customer journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and optimize Marketing Cloud’s automation tools for a variety of digital marketing channels (D2C, B2B2C and Social). We’ll rely on your ability to draw insights from the marketing cloud campaign analytics and website (Google Analytics) activities to drive marketing recommendations. You’ll also manage all paid ad/search campaigns and maintain the daily budget.

You’ll partner closely with the Marketing Leader to implement the marketing strategy and focus on the marketing execution efforts of our highly successful pet insurance business, and other Affinity insurance programs. We’ll trust you to ensure the marketing automations are operationally sound and that the connections are correct. We hope you’ll strive to optimize the program, make suggestions improvement especially as we onboard new insurance programs. You’ll also work closely with the overall program team, the business, the call center operations team and our external vendor partners.

We will count on you to:
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to execute CRM strategies, including building comprehensive prospect/customer journeys using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Develop and implement marketing automation in Marketing Cloud
  • Understand and establish data connections within Marketing Cloud to build effective automation journeys
  • Analyse and report results that will drive further optimization for email and program performance
  • Continually enhance customer experiences using Marketing Cloud automation
  • Develop and execute paid ad campaigns, working with Google for ongoing optimization
  • Assist team with social post execution through Social Studio

What you need to have:
  • 3+ years experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget development and implementation
  • Experience troubleshooting issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, tracking and other aspects of email execution
  • Experience with developing AMPSCRIPT code, CSS, HTML and basic SQL statements.
  • Experience developing and coordinating social media marketing activities related to promotion of campaigns and thought leadership (Social Media Platforms, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram)
  • Ability to propose cost effective marketing technology solutions to address business challenges such as improvement of development, processes and governance standards

What makes you stand out:
  • Certifications in Salesforce products (Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist preferred)
  • Experience to Contact Builder, Audience Builder, Journey Builder and Predictive intelligence (preferred)
  • Exposure with marketing of financial services/regulated products a plus
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create documentation for both business and technical stakeholders, including some copy writing.
  • Willingness to develop and champion recommendations to improve program performance.
