How will your role contribute at NewDay?
As part of the Digital Customer Communications Team, you’ll manage a team of 3 technical Salesforce Marketing Cloud SMEs to deliver against marketing, commercial, regulatory, and change projects and campaigns. You’ll own the end-to-end technical architecture of the SFMC platform and will be responsible for driving the best approach by working with our Marketing teams and consulting on platform functionally, new features and potential areas for enhancements.
What will you be doing day-to-day?
- Team management of c.3 direct reports – permanent and contractors including recruitment, talent and performance management, budgeting and motivation and development of team members.
- Act as Senior Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud within NewDay, leading technical delivery across digital communications.
- Manage the build, execution and delivery of sophisticated digital communication requirements and campaigns across Marketing and Commercial projects
- Act as technical Product Manager for SFMC (within Marketing and Data Squad), staying abreast of product enhancements and outages, and responsible for driving technical solutions and architecture
- Lead the SFMC delivery of data integration along with the SFMC Data Squad – advise and manage data architecture and setup, testing and monitoring of data feeds (batch/API) and data within SFMC
- Stay abreast of industry developments and drive optimisation across the Salesforce platform.
- Lead in technical conversations with developers to establish API connections for RT communications interacting with web and product pages
- Manage risk framework around digital products and platforms including SFMC – with ownership of Risk Register, process and controls
- Provide consultative support to other business unit users of Salesforce
- Deliver training to wider team on SFMC functionality, features and process as required
- Support manager and team as required
Your Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL
- An experienced people leader with knowledge of and experience in managing and leading a team, and HR processes including recruitment, talent and performance management, and development and training
- Demonstrable experience in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget for E2E campaign build and automation
- Practical experience in Email Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Mobile Connect, Automation Studio, Audience Builder
- Significant experience in a commercial marketing, analytics, CRM, or digital function with a solid understanding of Commercial drivers and critical metrics, and ability to connect technical delivery with commercial returns
- Deep understanding of CRM, SFMC functionality and configuration
- SQL and AMPScript coding experience essential
- Excellent knowledge of email and SMS marketing (mobile push and online banking helpful)
- Strong data and reporting skills with an understanding of database management systems and process and experience in managing data migration and integration
- A good understanding of HTML and CSS
- Solid understanding of email marketing principles such as; deliverability, IP configuration and management, and consent management
- Experience managing a wide range of partners including Commercial and Technical/Change partners at all levels
- Highly organised and effective in fast paced organisations
Desirable
- Experience in working across large scale multi-functional projects and Change
- Experience in Financial Services or highly data-drive B2C environment
- Experience with relational databases
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Admin certifications
