Position: Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer (Remote Work, Oregon)

Be an integral part of Leatherman’s growing ecommerce business. Work closely with Leatherman’s web developers, ecommerce team, creative team, and others to contribute to the creation of amazing web customer experiences. Work in a variety of development roles, from UI programming to complex backend integrations. Additionally, work on a variety of websites including Leatherman’s consumer ecommerce website, international sites, and internal sites.

Requires a highly motivated web developer with a desire to learn more about a variety of languages, platforms and technologies including Salesforce Commerce Cloud, JavaScript client and server-side code, Express, Microsoft Azure, Sass/CSS, REST, SOAP, SQL, Node and continuous integration processes.

Essential Functions*

• Lead and participate in code reviews.
• Be responsible for building and maintaining automated build processes.
• Champion high-quality testing, documentation, and code management practices.
• Work with newer developers to increase their skills and to learn how and why we strive to follow industry best practices.
• Assist the Ecommerce team in evaluating new technologies and partners.
• Take a leadership role on assigned projects and manage them to completion.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all systems, vendors and data flows involved with Leatherman Ecommerce.
• Be willing to continually learn and incorporate new tools and techniques.
• Continue to write code for all aspects of Leatherman ecommerce.
• Be an advocate for the protection of our customer’s data; follow all GDPR/CCPA laws and privacy best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of web development experience in a business environment preferably related to ecommerce or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 2 years’ experience.
• Proven experience working with the JavaScript language and development tool sets used for web development.
• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, node and Azure.
• Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication, and teamwork.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to establish and maintain effective relationships with various other departments.
• Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Effectively organize, prioritize, plan, and follow through on multiple complex assignments and projects.

Position can be remote, hybrid, or in-office setting. Remote work outside of the west coast will require employee to be available during west coast time zone and, employee should expect several trips to Portland, Oregon annually to meet the needs of the position, team and company.
