At American Advisor’s Group, the Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions for AAG’s Marketing, Sales (retail and wholesale) and Customer Service departments, using Apex and Visualforce, and often leveraging JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other languages/technologies.

Clear, object-oriented thinking is a must. The Developer should also be able to communicate well with stakeholders having varying technical familiarity. Quality is prioritized over speed. 

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Force.com platform.
  • Communicate with the team and/or stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions.
  • Continue to grow as a developer, staying abreast of best practices and new functionality on the Force.com platform.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (preferably in Computer Science, engineering or other system-conscious discipline).
  • 7+ years of professional experience required. 
  • Experience developing and delivering solutions to real internal or external clients required, preferably with an emphasis on Sales, Customer Service, and/or Marketing.
  • 4+ years Force.com development experience required, with a strong focus on Apex and system integrations. 
  • 1+ Years of salesforce lightning development experience and a strong understanding of salesforce lightning design system
  • Strong understanding of sales cloud platform and all the components in Salesforce.com
  • Experience working with complex flows, process builders and bulk jobs.
  • Experience with API driven data communication required. 
  • Successful development of RESTful web services, including OAuth required.
  • Strong knowledge of SF Deployment cycles across multiple environments. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Agile development practices a plus.
