At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a Salesforce Architect, you will be trusted to own and deliver complex solutions supporting Federal government programs. In this role, a typical day will include:
Providing technical expertise in the planning, analysis, implementation, and delivery of innovative solutions around Salesforce and other cloud platforms
Contributing in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in interactive technologies, websites, cloud architectures, applications, and open-source technologies
Providing technical guidance in the creation, maintenance and updating CRM platform and websites
Leading architectural discussions
Administering complex configuration, integration, and maintenance of Salesforce
Making system enhancements and modifications based on evolving business requirements
Managing data migrations between active systems
Ensuring that Salesforce always operates; troubleshoots and problems solves system and/or technology issues for all areas of the program
Ensuring data and systems are adequately safeguarded and backed up; systems operate in compliance with Federal IT security regulations
Developing an understanding of strategic business needs and provides insight and recommendations to program leadership for technological solutions to meet business objectives
Leading and facilitates related continuous improvement initiatives and activities
Driving client objectives and goals to completion by leveraging strong collaborations across internal and external stakeholders
Working with client to provide Proof of Concept trails of new developers for evaluation, as necessary
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
15+ years of experience designing, developing, and administrating CRM platforms and platforms and hybrid cloud solution
Valid Salesforce Application Architect, Salesforce System Architect, and/or Salesforce Technical Architect Certification(s)
Experience with Salesforce Development including Lightning Components, Visualforce, APEX, SOQL, and SOSL
Experience developing APIs
Experience on the Salesforce Lightning Platform including Process Builder, Workflows, Lightning App Builder, etc.
Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and/or Kanban
Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK and Streaming APIs
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Healthcare Service or Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) agency experience
Thorough knowledge of software development through automation tools
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Past experience in Federal IT systems and development processes
Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages, such as Python, C#, Java, and JavaScript.
Experience with modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, XML, and 4REST

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: To protect the health and safety of its employees and to comply with customer requirements, GDIT may require employees in certain positions to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination requirements will depend on the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements.
The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $204,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
