AHEAD is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to design, build, support and maintain the Salesforce platform within our organization. Our employees require efficient and reliable business applications that enable them to provide exceptional and innovative service to our clients.

The Senior Salesforce Developer designs and develops technical solutions that span multiple cloud platforms, including integration and authentication across systems. The role must articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for enhancements and applications planned for development. The developer owns the design phase of the software development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of usable solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale. As a member of our experienced Salesforce team, this role will be responsible for development and support of internal applications, primarily (but not limited to) the Salesforce platform.

The Senior Salesforce Developer, reporting to the Lead Solution Architect, will work with the Business Solutions team in all phases of the application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, build, QA and training, and help mentor associate developers in providing routine ongoing maintenance and support to our entire staff. Additionally, the Senior Salesforce Developer will assist in assuring the health of our Salesforce environment through routine maintenance.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and optimize Salesforce customizations within the platform
Design enterprise architecture outside of the Salesforce platform including but not limited to secure and high performing system integrations, data migration, other end to end solutions
Collaborate with team to determine how best to implement the solutions needed by the business
Act as escalation point for technical issues and as a technical coach for Salesforce developers
Provide development support during the Build, Validate, and Deploy phases of a Salesforce customization, enhancement, or feature implementation
Be responsible for Apex and VisualForce customizations required as part of the Salesforce environment
Develop and create customized workflows, triggers, validation rules, reports, and other administrative and developer features in the Salesforce platform
Work closely with business analysts, develop complex Salesforce solutions and ensure best practices are followed
Create and maintain both process and technical documentation for new and existing features, application configurations, and help related materials for users
Provide users with technical support and training on custom developed application features
Stay current with new Salesforce and IT-related features and functionality, and provide recommendations for process improvements
Interface with cross-functional team members to capture business requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions
Provide high-level employee satisfaction for all engagements, including incidents and enhancements

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, data architecture and integration
2+ years of professional experience working on complex Salesforce implementations
Strong background of APEX/Java, AngularJS, VisualForce, REST API, HTML/XHTML, SOQL/SQL
Experience of Salesforce Lightning Framework and building lightning components
Practical knowledge of Salesforce platform modules, features, architecture, limitations, security model, and functionality
Knowledge of programming best practices and experience with Github or other comparable version control systems
Knowledge of algorithm design and development
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, as a team member and mentor
Familiarity with DevOps tools, Agile methodology and release methodology. Copado experience is a plus
Knowledge of software and systems development life cycle models
Independent worker, self-starter, and a strong drive for continuous self-improvement
