Job Purpose

Job Purpose
Due to the continued growth of the business, we are currently looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer to join the organisation, help implement Salesforce and provide ongoing support.
The Software Developer is responsible for designing and developing on the force.com platform using APEX for Salesforce. They will be done using requirements analysis and design techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Develop solutions on force.com using the APEX Development framework and create ad hoc reports on Salesforce, as requested from time to time, to meet the requirements and support the business needs.
- Analyse end-user needs, translate these into business requirements in conjunction with the business analyst community [functional and non-functional], develop technical workflows and then design, unit test, and develop Salesforce software to satisfy demand.
- Create a solution design for each piece of development and complete an analysis to establish to the most appropriate solution for Argus, e.g. building the functionality or purchasing a pre-built Salesforce app.
- Create, review and maintain process flowcharts, diagrams, and other related documentation and work with the testing team to test the solution and for the Business Analyst to translate into training documentation as required.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and infrastructure to integrate applications and hardware.
- Train the trainer on the developed features and functionalities
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, including explaining complex technical principles to non-technical audiencesExperience/Skills
Technical
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a computer science discipline.
- Extensive experience of using Salesforce platform languages: Apex, SOQL and Lightning Web Components as well as advanced administration tools like process builder, flow and custom settings.
- Proven previous hands-on experience of analysis, design and development within the Salesforce application environment.
- Experience with Enterprise Integration Solutions and Web API development.
- Skills in managing source control for continuous integration and expert in tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Github, MS TFS.
- Use of HTML and JavaScript, Ideally ES6 or better
- Experience integrating with other CRM/ERP platforms
- Experience with deployments using SalesForce DX and ANT
- Knowledge of version control system such as GIT
- Experienced with bulk manipulation of data using tools such as SalesForce dataloader and large data volume using the bulk API
- Advanced Microsoft Excel/Data handling skills advantageous. (more for Data Modelling)
- Work in line with Best Practice Clicks, Not Code.
- Understand the Salesforce Data security model
- Understanding of Salesforce governor limits.Sales & marketing process understanding (advantageous)
- Experience in the continuous improvement of Sales processes and ability to identify process efficiencies i.e. data flow across Sales systems
- Experience & knowledge and understanding of the B2B sales process, campaign management and tracking objectives
- Exposure to Marketing Automation tools such as Pardot or Marketo
- Critical thinker with strong time-management and organisation skillsEducation/Qualifications
