Salesforce Developer

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Developer on our team, you’ll use programming and scripting languages to continuously improve a highly-customized Salesforce Service Cloud application, resolve issues, and upgrade the system to meet security requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Work directly with team members to identify process gaps / weaknesses / bottlenecks, define functional and technical requirements, and develop solutions.
• Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Flows, Assignment Rules, Approval Processes and email Alerts.
• Customize the User Interface, including Visualforce pages, Aura Components and Lightning Web Components.
• Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions using Apex classes, Triggers, Visualforce pages, etc.
• Document and develop dashboards / reports according to specifications and standards.
• Build integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
• Create and deploy change sets from development to test to the production environments.
• Perform data updates / migration using Data Loader or similar tools.
• Adhere to defined coding standards and Salesforce best practices to develop well-structured, maintainable, well-documented, and easy-to-understand code.
• Write test classes for all custom development to achieve minimum 85% test coverage.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT degree; 8+ years of total IT experience with at least 2 years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Visualforce, triggers, scheduled / batch classes, API, etc.
• Certified as a Salesforce Platform Developer I, preferred!
• Development experience in UI technologies; JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, preferred.
• Proficient in integration methods: REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
• Solid grasp of the Salesforce Lightning, and Salesforce Sandbox development environments.
• Proven knowledge of the Salesforce cloud development environment, including but not limited to items such as custom objects, declarative functionality, workflows, Triggers, Visualforce, migration tools, and SOQL.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and data architecture standard methodologies.
• Ability to solve complex technical issues; can analyze Flow, Apex and other debug logs and to resolve issues.
• Initiative to craft solutions based on functional requirements.
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects with flexibility. Strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and a desire for continuous learning!
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
