Preparing for our own rapid organic and acquisitive growth, AVEVA is expanding our applications team focused on the Salesforce platform, where we are looking for a talented Salesforce Developer to design world-class Salesforce applications for our evolving CRM requirements.
Responsibilities
As a Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. This will involve meeting with project managers, analyzing project objectives, coding new Salesforce applications, creating customer workflows, maintaining user roles, and troubleshooting applications errors. Your main responsibilities include:

Responsibilities
As a Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. This will involve meeting with project managers, analyzing project objectives, coding new Salesforce applications, creating customer workflows, maintaining user roles, and troubleshooting applications errors. Your main responsibilities include:
- Meeting with project managers to determine CRM needs.
- Developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform.
- Designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications.
- Creating timelines and development goals.
- Testing the stability and functionality of the application.
- Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
- Writing documents and providing technical training for Salesforce Staff.
- Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.
Skills & Qualifications
To ensure success as a Salesforce Developer, you should have extensive experience working with Salesforce CRM platforms, application development skills, and the ability to solve complex software problems. Ultimately, a top-class Salesforce Developer can create dynamic and scalable Salesforce applications that perfectly meet the evolving needs of the company.
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce.com developer
- Proficiency in Salesforce development (including APEX, Visual Force, Salesforce APIs, Lightning, Java and JavaScript).
- Proficiency in SFDC Customizations such as Custom Objects, Custom Tabs, Custom Fields, Validation rules, Workflow rules, Page Layouts, Record Types, Flow & Process Builders etc.
- Proficiency in Salesforce administration.
- Knowledge of Lightning Applications & Web Components.
- Proven experience with technologies integral to Salesforce including: HTML/XHTML, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, SQL, SOAP, REST, JSON, APEX.
- Good knowledge on using Profiles, Roles, Permission sets and OWD Settings.
- Good knowledge of data management using Data Loader, & experience on Data migration will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of different clouds (Sales/Marketing/Service/Community)
- Good technical knowledge in development using Eclipse Force.com IDE.
- Knowledge on Reports & Dashboards, SOQL & SOSL.
- Understanding of CSS and Salesforce Lightning Design Systems (SLDS) experience
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ applications preferable (including product rules, price rules, and dynamic options will be a plus)
- Experience in troubleshooting and working with end users will be a plus.
- DevOps experience will be an added advantage.
- Salesforce Certification (Admin/Developer) is desirable (but not must)
You can demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of Release Management processes and the controls they support
- Good understanding of Environment Management requirements and Salesforce policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of Salesforce technologies
- Has applied past experiences to identify alternative solutions for current issues.
- Experience of addressing problems and recommending solutions
- Can anticipate problems and takes appropriate action to prevent issues from occurring, gets to the root cause of the problem, suggests creative solutions to problems, breaks a complex issue into manageable modular parts to organize in a systematic way.
