Location: United Kingdom, Remote 

8x8 Engineering is looking for a Salesforce Lead Developer who has a strong passion for innovation, developing state of art communications software solutions, solving complex and interesting problems, developing SaaS and PaaS cloud solutions.

We are looking for an experienced developer for Salesforce Custom Applications Development with hands-on experience with APEX Classes, Triggers, VisualForce pages, Lightning Components, LWC, Web services (REST APIs preferably) and OOTB configuration. You will be responsible for designing and developing high-volume, low-latency mission-critical global systems and software applications. 

- Build mission critical web services and software applications;

- Participate and help drive phases of the software development lifecycle;

- Write well designed, testable, efficient, reusable code;

- Prepare and produce software builds and release management; and

- Investigate and present technology solutions and contribute to software architectural improvements

- Responsible for Project execution throughout the life-cycle of the project including: Analysis, Requirements Definition, Design, Build, Unit tests, writing quality test classes to meet Salesforce best practices

- Lead/Mentor a team of salesforce developers

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

- 5+ years of development on the Salesforce platform

- Must have prior experience in at least three (3) full life cycle SFDC implementations

- Strong hands on skills on Apex classes, Triggers, VF Pages, Lightning components and LWC

- Experience in using efficient methodologies ( such as Agile – Extreme programming, or test driven development) and continuous deployment tools (such as Git or Jenkins).

- Salesforce Certified Platform developer I and II

- Experience in integrating systems using Middleware (Boomi, TIBCO, Informatica).

- Understanding of object-oriented concepts, abstraction/inheritance, as well as experience with object-oriented languages

- Experience working with offshore teams

- Experience with CPQ solutions such as Apttus CPQ, Salesforce CPQ

- Experience with Salesforce Community and/or Service Cloud
