A typical day for a Senior SalesForce.com Developer to include:
The Senior Salesforce.com Developer role at Alight is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions for our internal and external clients, using Apex, Lightning Web Components and Visualforce, and often leveraging HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and other technologies. The Senior Developer will be a part of an experienced on-shore and off-shore Salesforce team and will be expected to work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead in the translation of requirements into functional design documents and develop high quality solutions based on specifications as indicated in design.
Develop, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform.
Manage and provide guidance on technical design, integration, development, configuration, and customization efforts, and document activities as required.
Drive resolution of all technical support issues related to Salesforce.com.
Test all items developed prior to turning over to testing team and business stakeholders
Provide support for quality assurance testing and defect resolution.
Manage deployment activities.
Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Experience developing and delivering solutions to customer problems, preferably with an emphasis on sales and/or marketing issues
Knowledge and Experience:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I and II Certification preferred
- 5+ years of Salesforce.com Development experience on the Force.com Platform with
- Experience with Salesforce in a developer capacity specifically in Community Cloud and Sales Cloud, writing custom Lightning Web Components, implementation of custom objects, triggers, workflows/workflow rules, Visualforce Pages, and Controller/Apex Classes as well as JavaScript development
- Solid understanding of the overall architecture of Salesforce platform, data model, and how and when to create custom objects vs using Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce data tools (Data Loader), scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware (Informatica) and other enterprise integrating technologies.
- Experience in managing enterprise-level Salesforce projects using Agile software development methodologies
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Education:
Background or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or a related field
