Job Description
We’re adding to our IT team and hiring a Salesforce Solutions Architect – Salesforce SAP Architect who will report to the Director, Enterprise Applications. Based in Columbia, MD, we will consider a hybrid option - working occasionally from home and in the office. We’ve implemented multiple Salesforce.com products to manage commercial process and in the process of implementing Salesforce CPQ solution. In this role, the Architect will be an integral part of CPQ solution rollout and focused on utilizing combined power of Salesforce.com and SAP ERP system to improve commercial process such as quote generation, price creation, price approvals and governance, order processing and contract management. You’ll work with the business and members of IT to deliver this new capability and help improve existing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Utilize your expertise with Salesforce and SAP integration architecture and own the design and subsequent improvements.
- Create design and work with other experts at Grace such as Salesforce administrators, SAP functional experts and middleware team for the implementation of the design. You will use your knowledge of Salesforce Sales cloud, Salesforce CPQ and SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) module so that requirements is translated with necessary details for other teams to follow and implement. You will use your knowledge of SAP SD and Salesforce data structure will enable this architect to develop robust architecture.
- Perform business requirements gathering, designing, and implementing solution using Salesforce.com and integrating other Grace standard applications such as SAP ERP and SharePoint
- Partner with business, architecture and infrastructure team for solution definition, development, and implementation. Ensure that solution being developed will satisfy business requirement.
- Configure Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Sales Cloud solutions.
- Effective monitoring of Salesforce.com environment and identify areas of improvement
Required Qualifications
- Ability to develop technical requirements for developers
- Deep understanding of Salesforce administration and SAP ERP Quote, Pricing and order processing processes and configuration
- Demonstrated ability to understand and assess how business processes can be improved using Salesforce; Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives
- Strong project management and demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Experienced on customization like creating objects, fields, Page Layouts, Record Types, Workflow rules, Validation Rules, Approval Process by enhancing the salesforce applications
- B.S. degree in CS, Engineering or Math
- 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing and managing package software.
- 3+ years of experience managing a Quote-to-Cash application, including Salesforce CPQ and Contract Management with proficiency in Salesforce CPQ
- Experience in implementing SAP SD module and then transitioning to the Salesforce world with experience in implementing Salesforce Sales cloud and CPQ solution.
- Experience in working with middleware such as SAP Business Object Data Services tool, middleware tools a plus. Person should be able to translate requirements into specifications for middleware expert to complete the integration tool configuration and development work
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified App Builder; Certified Administrator/ Advanced Administrator.
- Cloud computing technologies and infrastructure as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud
- Expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management
