Let's talk about the team and you:

As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will have a very strong analytical mindset and be responsible for creating, delivering, and owning complex cloud/on-prem solutions using technologies such as SFDC, AWS, Oracle, Marketo, Genesys, Tableau, Snowflake, and more. The candidate will be responsible for owning the architecture and design of solution components (e.g., integration, security, custom development). The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills in all stages of the software development life cycle and be able to demonstrate progressive leadership in software development generally.

The candidate will own the creation and review of design elements (e.g., UML Diagrams, Design Documentation, etc.) and sign-off on the overall technical design of Salesforce. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are heavily evaluated and monitored to meet the standards set forth. The candidate must also be able to identify and confirm technical design risks and develop mitigating approaches. The candidate must also be able to provide level of effort estimates for the various technical solutions that are proposed and built.

The Salesforce Technical Architect is recognized as the subject matter expert and assists in maintaining the current state, planning future phases of Salesforce deployments, and strategic business initiatives. They will work closely with strategic members of various departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Distribution, etc. as ResMed evolves its CRM to align with a reimagined B2B and B2C customer experience. Additionally, the Salesforce Technical Architect will help with development, providing best practices to the team as it pertains to data migrations and creation of core automation. They are expected to be a point of contact for any escalated business critical issues as they may arise.

Let's talk about responsibilities:
  • Own overall architecture, design, configuration, and development of solution components
  • Plan implementations, assisting in gathering requirements, facilitate planning, testing, and implementation, monitor adoption, etc.
  • Define the system landscape, identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver CRM solutions (from scratch if necessary)
  • Lead design sessions and communicate design options to clients, articulating how business functionality can be mapped to SFDC out of the box and potential places for customization
  • Assess new tools and software, perform POCs, and offer recommendations to optimize the enterprise Salesforce landscape
  • Provide technical leadership in the migration of orgs from Salesforce Classic to Lightning
  • Develop and maintain custom data input screens, reports, dashboards, validation rules, and workflows
  • Maintain the functional areas of data management and governance, accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, etc.
  • Manage data migrations and data cleansing from existing applications and spreadsheets into Salesforce instances
  • Maintain user roles, security, profiles, workflow rules, etc.
  • Manage security requirements such as single sign on and data obfuscation for confidential data
  • Work proactively to remove technical debt and security vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with and coordinate/oversee work of Salesforce analysts, administrators, and developers to ensure ownership and accountability and that best business practices realized
  • Actively participate in or lead Salesforce Center for Excellence to elevate best practices with Salesforce
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and engagement for the program, holding internal and external stakeholders accountable for delivering against their commitments
  • Assist with the training of new and existing team members and end users

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT industry with a minimum of 4 years as a salesforce lead and/or architect supporting over 500 users on an enterprise level
  • Salesforce Certified Architect required
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, functionalities, licensing, and limitations (when to use configuration versus code, governor limits).
  • Experience with large end-to-end implementations of Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, etc.)
  • Strong practical experience with VisualForce, Flex, Salesforce configurations, Apex classes, web services, triggers, and API, AppExchange deployment, and Salesforce.com s-controls.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages including Apex, J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, and XML and their use in the development of CRM solutions.
  • Strong Service Oriented Architecture background
  • Integration experience using both Web based technologies (Soap, Rest) and Integration/Middleware tools such as Informatica, Tibco, Dell Boomi, or Mulesoft
  • Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Agile, Scrum and Waterfall
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills in large scale enterprise, matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel, roughly 1 time per quarter

Desirable:
  • Prior experience with SOX audits around Salesforce desired
  • Prior programming experience with SQL and Oracle strongly desired.
